Huge Tuition Fees Deter More Students from Applying to University

For the second year running there has been a significant fall in the numbers of young people applying to go to university. UCAS has reported a 6.3% drop in applications compared with the same point in the process last year. University and College Union general secretary Sally Hunt said: 'The bottom line is that hiking up the cost is likely to have an impact on people's decisions when it comes to further study'.
