Maintain school safeguards

Along with other distinguished educationalists, leading SEA members, John Bolt, Sheila Dore, Imogen Pennell and Trevor Fisher write to the Independent about Gove's preparedness to allow selected schools to avoid inspection.

Ofsted is not the SEA's favourite organisation but all schools should be subject to the same scrutiny, whether or not they are among the Secretary of State's chosen ones.
